FRP has high hardness and is much lighter than steel. It is used as fuel tank and pipe of jet aircraft to reduce the weight of aircraft. China has widely used FRP to make all kinds of small motorboats, lifeboats, yachts and automobile manufacturing, thus saving a lot of steel. According to relevant statistics, there are about 40000 kinds of FRP products developed all over the world. Although all countries have their own development direction according to their own economic development, they have basically involved all industrial sectors. After more than 40 years of development, China's FRP industry has also been successfully applied to various fields of the national economy and has played an important role in economic construction. The main application fields and uses of FRP are:
1. 6. Inland passenger and cargo ships: fishing boats, hovercraft, various types of yachts, rowing boats, high-speed ships, lifeboats, transport ships, FRP buoys and ship buoys.
7. With the development of science and technology and the improvement of people's living standards, many civil FRP products have been developed in large quantities, such as many urban sculptures, arts and crafts, fast dining tables and chairs, motorcycle accessories, glass fiber flowerpots, hard hats, high-grade amusement equipment, home appliance shells and so on.
